The Hollywood A Listers, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have recently completed their purchase of the National League football club… Honestly, it’s true!

Having high profile wealthy owners has it’s pro’s and cons
The dreamers hope they pump and huge amount of money into the club, reflecting in a great manager with the best players, improved performances, promotion to the Premier League and trophies won! Who knows they may even make a movie about it!
The pessimist will see these two rich guys who know nothing about football wanting a bit of fun – resulting in a situation that has occurred at two football league clubs, Bury and Macclesfield Town.
You just have to hope they don’t just go throwing money around with reckless abandon. Players coming to play for Wrexham just because they pay over the odds. There would be nothing worse than a poor manager in charge of bunch of out of control, overpaid, underperforming players, who have no connection with the club. Then guess what…the guys from LA who don’t know a lot about running a football club lose interest, pull the plug on any more funding.
However, they do seem to be starting out in the right way with some very good decisions! The appointment of Peter Moore as an advisor is a coup. The former Liverpool CEO, a boyhood Wrexham fan who grew up in the North Wales region will bring a wealth of experience and was quoted in the Wrexham Leader wanting the “Give Back” to Wrexham FC.
