A Look at Digital Marketing moving into 2023

Introduction

I haven’t written many articles throughout my career, however throughout 2023 I am keen to share my insight and knowledge across my network in the hope of at some point being able to help both candidates and clients.

Predictions

As a recruitment consultant specialising in both digital marketing and IT recruitment, it’s important to stay up-to-date on the latest technology skills that employers are looking for. The field of technology is constantly evolving, making it difficult to predict exactly what skills will be in high demand in 2023. However, some of trends the that I believe are likely to continue into the next year would definitely include the increasing use of artificial intelligence and machine learning, and the importance of cybersecurity.

Furthermore, like in 2022 I believe Data science is another skill that will likely remain in high demand, as data analytics and data-driven decision making has become increasingly prevalent in a wide range of industries. In addition to these skills, there may be a growing demand for professionals who are skilled in emerging technologies such as virtual and augmented reality, blockchain, and quantum computing.

Digital Marketing

Over 2022 I found myself gravitating towards digital marketing recruitment so I wanted to provide some insight to what I have learnt throughout this time. With the rise of social media and the proliferation of online advertising, I believe digital marketing skills will only become increasingly important in 2023. This includes skills such as search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, content marketing, email marketing, and social media marketing. Being more specific I believe other skills such as branding, customer relationship management (CRM), and experience with digital marketing automation tools will be of interest to employers since the market is becoming increasingly competitive so businesses are focussing on finding professionals who can help them stand out and build strong relationships with customers.

Conclusion

To remain competitive in the job market, it is important for professionals to stay current with the latest technologies and trends. Keeping an eye on the technology skills that are in high demand can help job seekers tailor their resumes and focus their training efforts on the most valuable skills.
