Junior Technical Support Engineer (Application Support)

My client is a Software Solutions Consultancy who are in growth mode, they have a great team led by a fantastic Senior team, and are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their busy Support team.
This would be an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience with an International company, as well as learning new skills and having the opportunity to work towards progression.
Responsibilities of a Support Engineer:
- Providing application support.
- Logging and updating calls / escalating issues when necessary.
- Working to agreed SLA’s.
- Support / update applications.
- Running Linux Scripts / Linux Commands.
- Update Databases.
- Understanding of XML and creation of EDI Files.
Key Skills of a Support Engineer:
This role would suit an individual with a background in general IT Support who may be keen to progress their career in the project-driven space. You will be fully trained on the product you are supporting, and you will pick up the following technical skills below:
- Linux Administration.
- Active Directory.
- Microsoft Office – all Packages.
Profile of a Support Engineer:
- Willing to learn and progress.
