Package: £18,000 – £25,000 dependant on qualifications and experience
Start Date:  ASAP
Hours: 37.5 Hours, Monday to Friday

As a result of the clients’ expansion, they are looking for a talented person to join the team as a Technical Services Support Officer and to help them grow furthermore.

Technical Services Support Officer Role Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain systems and applications across the company.
  • Provide 1st & 2nd line IT technical support for both staff and external clients.
  • Take ownership of problems, including following up and communicating progress in a timely & effective manner.
  • Create and maintain guides and document your work.
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Manage user accounts.
  • Maintain business critical applications and systems.
  • Provide support for stock control systems (with training) to become the technical resource for fellow colleagues.
  • Get involved with the development of Ecommerce projects.
  • Assist with the development of web and desktop applications.
  • Create and support custom built Access database applications.
  • Develop and update client websites.

Competencies & Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND/degree in IT, Computer Science or relevant related area (Desirable).
  • An interest in IT maintenance and a good knowledge of PC based computers.
  • Confidence, enthusiasm, motivation, organisational skills and reliability.
  • The ability to multi-task, manage workloads and be flexible to respond to conflicting demands/deadlines.
  • Microsoft Network Environment experience, Windows Server, TCP/IP, Active Directory, Exchange, RDP/RDS, MS Office Applications.
  • Professional manner.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative.
  • An interest in coding which may include a variety of technologies and languages, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, PHP, XML, JSON, .NET etc.
  • Strong desire to continue improving skill sets.
